Pursuant to the Desert RATS Constitution, at the meeting in November you the membership will elect the Officers and Board of Directors for a one-year term:
“Officers and Directors shall be elected by a majority of votes duly cast by the voting members at the annual meeting of The Desert Rats held on the Third (3rd) Tuesday in November of each year or, if a quorum is not present, then at the next regular or special meeting called for the purpose, notice of any such meeting having been mailed or sent electronically to each voting member in advance of the meeting.”
We are therefore calling for nominations. Please send me (k6gav@outlook.com) names of any nominations, or be prepared to nominate any candidates at the October 17th meeting. We will have a nomination form in the November Newsletter for you to fill out if you think of someone after the October meeting. You will need to bring that to the November 21, 2017 meeting for the voting.
We will be providing a list of qualified nominations in advance of the November meeting. Note also that in accordance with Article VI, section 2 additional nominations may be made from the floor prior to the election in November.
