February Meeting Program – Bighorn Sheep
Aimee Byard from the Bighorn Institute will give a fascinating talk on these unique animals.
Aimee Byard graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Wildlife Biology. She started working for Bighorn Institute in 2000 as a Field Biologist and now also serves as the Institute’s Associate Director. Byard continues her field biology tracking bighorn sheep from Palm Springs to La Quinta, as well as caring for the Institute’s captive herd of bighorn. Byard is passionate about the plight of the Peninsular bighorn and is dedicated to their conservation and recovery. In her free time, Byard enjoys hiking, biking, wildlife photography and looking for bighorn sheep in other parts of the U.S. and Canada.
