Hi again. The April meeting had an interesting presentation about how important Ham Radio is to the sport of rally racing. There is an event on May 20th. Interested in participating, See Bill KK6HRW.
The May meeting is another talk about how important Ham Radio is to the community. Learn how to get involved. Ralph will talk more about that later.
Along that line of thought, it is important to give back. We are issued our licenses as a service. It is the Amateur Radio Service, after all. In my humble opinion, all Hams should get involved, at some level, no matter how small or few hours you can afford. Give something back to the community. OK, off the soap box.
Some announcements:
We now have a club secretary. Gavin K6GAV has graciously stepped up to fill the void. He brings with him a depth of industrial experience will is welcome to the board.
Also Mark KD6SEC, a director on the board has volunteered to chair the training committee. Earl KJ6DQR will be his right hand man. We can now look forward to starting up licensing classes this next fall/winter. The next time you see them, please thank Gavin, Mark and Earl for filling these positions.
