Hamfest is just around the corner this Saturday March 12th. We have a full slate of guest speakers scheduled.
To kick things off, Riverside County Supervisor John Benoit, WA6IAD, will be speaking. Bet you didn’t know that he was a ham?
There will be several parts vendors and tables with representatives of several groups, like ARES, RACES, CAP and the American Legion club – K6TAL. Oh, and a big swap meet area.
We still are a little short handed. So even if you could not commit to working a full shift. After you are through checking out the goodies, we could still use your help. You could relieve someone so they can look around. All work and no play, etc. Look me up and tell me you’d like to help.
I won’t take Ralphs steam by telling you about this months speaker, but I have been looking forward to hearing this for about 6 months now. In April we have a representative from Yaesu going to talk about their new System Fusion repeater systems. May has been booked with an ARRL Oficial Observer. He is going to talk about how to be a good ham and not get a citation. He will talk about some of the cases he has worked on and how you can help. Maybe some recruitment as well.
After Hamfest we will have the Extra Class class. Look for info here or on the clubs web site.
That brings us to June and that is Field Day.
See ya on the bands.
