Presidents Message
Last month’s meeting was a great success. Almost 50 RATS in attendance to hear Bob AK6R from Palomar Engineering talk about noise reduction on transmission lines. He discussed some of the differences in ferrite chokes and how to use them. We’ll have him back to talk about long wire antennas.
As we have done for the past several years, we will not have a July or August meeting. As an alternative we meet at Manhattan in the Desert (at 6:00 p.m.) for dinner and camaraderie.
The May Desert RATS meeting will be on solar power. Nate Otto, CEO of Hot Purple Energy, will be addressing the members on not just solar power, but inverters and batteries. Also, how to plan your work load, battery selection and a variety of other related topics. Don’t miss it.
