Presidents Message – November 2020

What happened to Fall? Dang, we went from Summer to Winter in a week. On a good note, Sunspot Cycle 25 seems to be off with a bang. The bands are going great guns.

Our November meeting will, again, be a Zoom meeting. More on that later on. You will receive the secret handshake and decoder ring the day before the meeting. If you don’t receive the information you need, get a hold of Gavin via the club web site.

We are always looking for something for us to do. Mark KD6SEC is working on Winter Field Day at Lake Cahuilla where we held it last year. Several of us have already reserved RV spots. Everyone is welcome to join in and participate as safely as you feel comfortable with. If you have a RV and would like to come hang out for the weekend, feel free to reserve a spot for yourself. We are at the far end in the site numbers in the low 40s.

Speaking of RVs…  How many of you have a RV of some sort? We could start a Rambling RATS RV club, or something like that. There are lots of local places to go for a few days, throw up an antenna, pop a beer and enjoy life. Any takers? Contact me (WB6RLC) or Mark KD6SEC through the club site.
