I hope you did not miss our opening September meeting. OK, it was a little wet, I’ll give you that. But for those who braved the elements, they were rewarded with a free hot dog dinner and a great presentation from our guest speaker.
Kevin Zanjani, KI6DHQ, from Bioenno Power presented an exciting overview of LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery technology. Kevin has given the club a discount on battery purchases. Look for the discount number in Ralphs article on the meeting. He also donated a battery and charger for the clubs raffle table, which was won by Bill KK6HRW
Oh, I forgot last month to show a photo of our new RATS antenna on Edom Hill. Here is Nathan AG6AV up about 60ft on the tower, installing the new antenna. Thanks for all of your work Nathan and his father Earl KJ6DQR.
This months meeting will be very exciting. The speaker is Dr. Henry Richter from NASA and JPL speaking on deep space communications. Don’t miss it. See details further down the newsletter.
