The only bad news about our new repeater is that it has shown how bad the antenna system really is. The poor operation of the old repeater hid the fact that the antenna is pretty much falling apart. That is why it sounds like..never mind… on windy days.
So now my friends, it is time to replace the repeater antenna. They cost as much as the repeater itself. We need a commercial grade antenna that can withstand the rigors of life on Edom Hill. We are going to ask for donations, ways to raise money, like raffles, bake sales, I don’t know. I’ll ask you for ideas. Right now we have $200 in seed money in the fund. Anything will help.
