- Our January meeting was well attended. Jim Sanders AG6IF spoke on Broadband Hamnet. Very interesting topic. At first, I think some were a little lost, but then the light bulbs started coming on and a good discussion followed. Jim will also be speaking at the Hamfest.
- Speaking of the Hamfest, it is moving along well. We have lost a vendor or 2 for various reasons, but have gained some. We also have more speakers this year, so there will be lots to see and do.
- Along those lines, we still need lots of help with the Hamfest. We need set up on Friday for an hour, help with parking, raffle tickets, registration and all of the things that makes this work. You can contact our volunteers coordinator Melissa at missyniftys@yahoo.com or sign up at the February RATS meeting. Don’t forget to spread the word.
- Remember, memberships expire on December 31st, so if you haven’t paid your dues, they’re due. Please go on line to desertrats.am where you may pay with Pay Pal. You can also print out the application form and either mail it in or bring it to the meeting where you can pay with either cash or check. The Desert RATS ARC is now offering a lifetime membership for $150. One payment and you are a RAT for life. What a deal. Right now this is only offered at the club meeting as we do not have the on line membership form set up with the life time option. This is for a single person membership only.
