Greeting all. Everyone ready for some nice Fall weather?
Several things are coming up in the next few months to be aware of.
Club Business:
First at the November meeting are the club elections. In this newsletter you’ll find the ballot as it stands. We will accept nominations from the floor.
Also take a look at the ballot. We will be voting on officers for the next year. We are transitioning from a 501c7 to a 501c3. There is club membership action required. Please make this meeting.
November Meeting
The meeting topic is Software Defined Radios. More on that further down. I think we have a Yaesu FT-60 HT to raffle off at the meeting.
Membership Dues
Desert R.A.T.S. club dues are due. There are several ways to pay up. You may go to the web site and either pay with PayPal or print out the form and mail it in. Of course you can always pay at any meeting.
Your dues help with things like maintaining the clubs repeaters. The clubs 220 machine is being moved to a site on Edom Hill. It will still have it’s IRLP link as well. Thanks Earl KJ6DQR for all of your efforts on this project.
Technician Class
In January we will be holding classes for the Technician Ham license. More info on that is in this newsletter and on the club web site. So if you know anyone who is interested, have them sign up on line.
