The November RATS meeting went off very well. Gavin K6GAV and Earl KJ6DQR gave a great presentation on Software Defined Radio. It was well received by the 45 or so attendees with lots of Q&A afterwords.
We also held the election of officers for the Desert RATS ARC for 2018, see Gavins bit later on. We also had a discussion and held a vote regarding our transfer into a 501c3.
At the end was the usual raffle topped off with the giving away of a Yeasu FT-60 HT. Guy KS6F won that.
So all in all, we had a great year. There was the best Hamfest that Southern California has seen. We ranked higher in Field Day than we ever have and our membership has grown to over 120 members.
As a reminder, there will be no December RATS meeting. If you’d like a Holiday get together of some kind next year. Someone will have to raise their hand and volunteer to organize it.
With that said, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a wonderful Holiday Season and the best in the New Year.
