Presidents Message March 2020

Happy Daylight Savings time!

Our February meeting was well attended and a big hit, with around 50 members there to hear the wonderful presentation on vintage tube type Ham radios. Of course, well presented by yours truly. I did enjoy putting the presentation together. Vintage radios are a part of the hobby that I really enjoy, so I was glad to pass some of that on. This month’s speaker is about SWR. Who needs it? See more on that further down.

The other big event for March will be what seems have become the annual Desert RATS BBQ and Picnic. This is a great chance to spend some time getting to know your fellow RATS a little better. Come and socialize and enjoy a day in the park and some great BBQ. This is a members only event (and immediate family), so if you have not paid your 2020 dues, you’d better get on the stick. Hmmm, seems short and to the point this month. Enjoy the great weather and the increased activity on the HF bands. Things are looking up.
