The RATS are looking for a Contest Chairperson

At the last RATS Board meeting, we got talking about contesting. There are several of us who enjoy contesting in one form or another. There was the recent CQ SSB Contest and before that the California QSO Party.
Many of us participate, we just don’t break out in a sweat doing it. Meaning, operate the entire 36 hours with a pot of coffee and a pile of sandwiches. We just get on and make as many contacts as we can on as many bands that are open and have a good time doing it.
The long-winded point of this is; if we combined our scores as a club, we might actually do well in some of these contests.
What we are looking for is someone to head up a contest committee. The Chairperson of the Contest Committee would determine what contests we, as a club, would participate in, then collect the various logs, combine them as a club and submit the club contest log. You could have as many committee members as you needed, and it would be a free-range kind of thing. You would need to keep the board informed but that’s about it. Anyone interested in the post?
