Our twelve committees are hard at work making our Desert Rats 2017 Palm Springs Hamfest the biggest and best electronics oriented exposition the Coachella Valley has ever seen. At least a dozen high profile powerful speakers, each of whom is an expert in his/her field, are signed up to speak. Our guest speakers will talk about topics ranging from Homeland Security to the probability of having a major earthquake here in the near future. This year we’ll be providing our attendees with a brochure listing the events that will occur throughout the day (Saturday, February 4, 2017). Many vendors have already bought space in order to sell their merchandise at low Hamfest prices. Our Food Committee has made arrangements to have commercial food vendors at Hamfest, so plan to spend the entire day at the Air Museum.
The job of promoting the 2017 Palm Springs Hamfest is a big undertaking, and one with which we need your help. Almost every committee needs more volunteers. The Publicity Committee needs help to distribute our attractive and informative flyers. We need more volunteers to assist at our Consignment tables. If you’re a winter resident and haven’t yet had the opportunity to become involved in Hamfest, please email me now. Remember, volunteers receive free admission!
