ARRL Field Day / Open House
This Weekend

The Desert RATS will be hosting ARRL Field Day this Saturday, June 27 at the Cathedral City Library from 11am to 4pm.
Field Day is ham radio’s annual “open house” and so we want to expose as many people as possible to our hobby.
|
This is an ideal opportunity to bring family members and friends together to show all aspects of Amateur Radio, what technologies we use, and how equipment and skills can be applied to serve the local community.
|
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27th.
|
We will be hosting an open house showcasing all aspects of Amateur Radio.
|
There will be tables set up with demonstrations of:
|
- Digital Modes
- Satellite Communications
- Member go-paks
- Display showing the evolution of radio equipment from past to present
We will also have representatives present from the Fire Department and the Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network.
