Presidents Message
I guess I’ll get this off my chest, right from the start.
At the Desert RATS board meeting last week, we talked and thought long and hard about the upcoming in-person RATS meetings. Well my friends, it’s just not going to happen. With rising hospitalizations from the various COVID variants, the board felt that we did not want to put any of our friends in any kind of harms way.
As a result, we will not be having an in person meeting this October as we had hoped and planned. We will, however, continue with our well received online Zoom meetings. Dang, and I was really looking forward to seeing all your mugs at the meeting. In a few more months my friends, a few more month.
And the bands. DX has been awful. I had high hopes for this summer and the new solar cycle. The poor DX has had me so down, I’ve considered jumping out of my basement window.
Well, the good news is, we are almost at the end of Summer.
Did you hear about the two antennas? They met on the roof. They fell in love and decided to get married. The ceremony was not much, but the reception was awesome!
