I hope that everyone is getting through this tough winter. What is tough is the lack of DX. Boy the bands have been dead. There have been a few pockets of DX in the early morning on 80M and 40M using the digital modes.
The January meeting was well attended with about 45 members and guests. Rick K6VE gave a great talk about all of the back stage RF that goes on. A few behind the scenes photos that you would never see anywhere else. Who knew that there were around 700 individual RF frequencies going on at the Golden Globes? Thank you Rick for a great presentation.
Do you like to go on the occasional hike around the valley? Would you like some new ideas as to where to hike? Our March meeting will feature the author of the book 140 Hiking Trails Around Palm Springs – Philip Ferranti. Even if you are not working SOTA (Summits On The Air) and just out for a hike, take your HT along. Make some contacts or just for safety. Philip will also have his book for sale at the meeting.
