Dear American Legion Members and Friends,
On Friday, Nov. 11, The American Legion Post 519 Amateur Radio Club (K6TAL) will conduct its annual Veterans Day special event from 0900 to 1630 Hours, Pacific Standard Time [1400Z – 2130Z] from American Legion Post 519, Palm Springs. On this day, we will honor our fellow veterans in this special on-the-air amateur radio tribute.
Participation in the special event is open to all amateur radio operators. Please invite friends and family who are amateur radio operators to contact the station.
Ham radio operators wishing to contact special event Station K6TAL on Veterans Day should tune to 20 meters: 14.275 MHz (+/- 5 KHz) USB; or to 2 meters: DRATS 146.940 – 107.5 Repeater on Edom Hill; or to 40 meters 7.275 MHz (+/- 5 KHz) LSB. There are also a dozen American Legion club stations that will be on the air on or about this frequency.
